ALWAYS JESUS

The RIGHT Answer Is Always Jesus

The Answer: Always Jesus

The Right Answer Is ALWAYS Jesus

I had a theology professor in seminary who, at the beginning of the semester, told us the right answer was always Jesus. If we put Jesus as the answer to any question on an exam, it would be marked as correct.

Jesus IS always the answer... to everything.

Why are there so many problems, and trials, and issues we need to deal with? Why do things go wrong? Why can't everybody just get along? Why did my mother die from cancer? Why are people hungry? Why did someone steal my car? Why? WHY? Because of sin, and Jesus is the answer to sin.

Through one man sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all mankind, because all sinned. - Romans 5:12

For the creation was subjected to futility, not willingly, but because of him who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to corruption and obtain the freedom of the glory of the children of God. For we know that the whole creation has been groaning together in the pains of childbirth until now. And not only the creation, but we ourselves, who have the firstfruits of the Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly for adoption as sons, the redemption of our bodies. - Romans 8:20-23

When Adam disobeyed God (sinned), he brought sin into the universe. As a result everything was corrupted, from humanity to the furthest galaxy. Everything became separated from God and the corruption grew worse with every passing day. God's creation started out very good, but the fallen and corrupted world we live in is now overflowing with problems.

God saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning, the sixth day. - Genesis 1:31

When God makes something, does He make any mistakes? Any at all? No. When God says that something is "very good," did He make a mistake? No. It really was very good. No death nor decay. Everything functioning perfectly. Then Adam disobeyed God.

Everything that is good comes from God. Everything. When sin came into the world, that resulted in separation from God. Without God there is nothing that is good. That means that when Adam sinned, resulting in separation from God, everything should have fallen apart. The universe should have disintegrated. However, God in His great mercy and love, stepped in and held it all together. Why? Because He had a solution that could save us from sin—His Son, Jesus Christ.

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. - Colossians 1:17

However, there will come a day when Jesus stops holding everything together.

But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be discovered. - 2 Peter 3:10

Then God will create everything new. What will it be like?

He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.. - Revelation 21:3b-4

Everything will be perfect again. No death. Not even any pain... ever. And no reason to cry. That means there are no troubles, no conflicts, no cancer, no evil.

What is the source of every problem, trouble, sorrow, and death?

SIN

Sin is the problem. What is the solution? Jesus. He is the only solution that solves the problem. He is the only answer to every trial, pain and all suffering.

What about my leaky faucet? Is Jesus really the answer?

THE ANSWER IS
ALWAYS JESUS

Wide and Narrow Roads

Life may seem overwhelming. How can Jesus be the answer? Because the foundational problem is always the same. Sin and the consequences of sin. What? How can that be?

For all have sinned [disobeyed God] and fall short of the glory of God. - Romans 3:23

Someone may say, 'Yes, I know I've done some wrong things. But, right now I cannot pay my rent and my legs are so swollen I'm unable to walk. What is Jesus going to do about that?'

His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. - Isaiah 9:6 speaking about Jesus.

Jesus is not about what you can get from Him. There is no promise of health or wealth in this life. The promise is that you will be at peace with God, and if you live a Godly life, you will be persecuted.

Peace with God results in peace in this life, knowing that God is in control. Trust Jesus. He will provide for your needs. Maybe not the way you desired, but it will be in the way that most glorifies God. For example, through your suffering or pain, someone seeing the peace you have (from God), may then repent and be saved. You will never know if that person repented and was saved until you meet them in heaven. God is most glorified by His salvation of another undeserving sinner, and is also glorified by your part in the work He gave you to do — His peace that you exemplified in your life as you trusted in Jesus.

Trusting Jesus is not the easy way. But, it is the only way.

Trust Jesus. Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved. - Acts 16:31
